TASTING TIMES

Chowder tasting begins at 10am and ends at 3pm.  The event is over at 3pm. You MUST start at the two designated check-in locations. 

 

CHECK-IN LOCATIONS
You must check-in and receive your wristband, map, and commemorative spoon at one of our two check-in locations.  Check-in Saturday starting at 9am:

• Rocker Oysterfeller's, 14415 Highway One, Valley Ford CA 94972

• Sonoma Coast Visitor Center, 913 Highway 1, Bodega Bay CA 94923.

SKIP THE LINE AND CHECK-IN EARLY!  You may check-in on January 23rd or 24th from 10am-5pm at the Sonoma Coast Visitor Center at 913 Highway 1.

WRISTBANDS

You must wear your wristband to taste chowder. Wristbands will be given at your check in location. 

 

MAPS
Be sure to have each restaurant stamp your tasting map at each location. Maps must be fully stamped to be eligible for prizes. (See below.) You may turn in your map at your last tasting location or at the Sonoma Coast Visitor Center, 913 Highway 1, Bodega Bay, CA 94923

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME ON CHOWDER DAY?

Printed ticket.  Commemorative spoon supplied.

 

TICKETS                                                                        

Please print your ticket at home to facilitate faster check-in at the event.  There will be TWO CHECK-IN LOCATIONS where you will receive your map, commemorative spoon and a wristband to verify your eligibility to taste at each location. See above for Check-In information.

 

MAPS                                                                         

You will receive your map, along with your wristband and commemorative tasting spoon at one of the two check in locations. ROCKER OYSTERFELLER'S RESTAURANT, 14415 Highway One, Valley Ford CA 94972 and at the SONOMA COAST VISITOR CENTER, 913 Highway 1, Bodega Bay CA 94923.  You will receive a WRISTBAND and COMMEMORATIVE TASTING SPOON and MAP at check in.

 

WHAT IF I LOSE MY TICKET/MAP?

Come to the Visitor Center at 913 Highway 1 and we will assist you. 

 

HOW WILL I KNOW WHICH RESTAURANTS ARE PARTICIPATING?  

Look for a participant sign at each restaurant.  Check the map, too! 

 

WHERE DO I PARK?

Each business will have parking available.  There is no central spot to park and walk to each restaurant. Carpooling is recommended.

 

PRIZES

• Instagram Challenge:  Post a picture/selfie (by 3pm, Sat) on Instagram with #BBChowderDay2024, and make sure your favorite restaurant theme is clearly shown in the background. You will automatically be entered into a drawing for a prize. The winner will be notified around 5pm Saturday evening! We love group photos!

• Stamped Map:  Return your map (with all locations stamped) to the Sonoma Coast Visitor Center at 913 Highway 1, by 4pm or at your last tasting location.  You will be automatically entered into a drawing.  Winners will be notified after 5pm Saturday evening by phone and/or email. Be sure to print your contact information clearly.

 

SPOONS                                                                  

You will be provided with a commemorative spoon to use for the tastings.  There will be a limited supply of compostable spoons available from the competitors if you lose it.

 

CAN I BRING MY PETS? 
Sure!  You will be touring the Sonoma Coast and Bodega Bay in your car. So, feel free to bring your pet. Most of the stops you'll make are outside. But keep in mind that some businesses might not be pet friendly. PLEASE BE SURE TO CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR PET AND KEEP THEM ON A LEASH.
